The Counter Sales/Service position is the point of contact for our customers.
You will help supply the needs of our HVAC contractors over the phone and in-person to help meet their business requests.
This role provides endless opportunities for growth and expanding knowledge in the HVAC industry.
The perfect candidate for this role will be high-energy, detail oriented and thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking, high pressure environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Answer incoming telephone calls and greet customers coming into the store Process customer orders, provide continuous communication with customers, and provide all updates in a timely manner.
Complete customer sales by finalizing all aspects sales including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes and delivery dates Develop great working relationships and rapport with customers and coworkers as well as provide superior customer service through communication in person and by telephone.
Ability to remain professional while handling difficult situations in a high paced sales environment Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner Determine customer requirements and expectations to be able to create solutions by recommending Johnstone products and services by educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products.
Learn and use cross-reference materials to recommend alternate products based on cost and availability.
Increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items Clean, organize and stock showroom floor and counter areas when necessary Works well as a team player and follows Company Policies/Store Standards Regular attendance and punctuality are essential Perform additional projects as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.

years of Customer Service or Sales Knowledge of HVAC or Building Supplies Preferred Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Positive, professional attitude with excellent communication skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to travel locally for training and meetings:
