The primary duty of a Security Supervisor is to oversee the Sergeants, Security Officer's and Recreation Hall Attendants.
The Security Supervisor's duties are to function as the first level of Management, operating out of the Stable Gate.
The Security Supervisor will report directly to the Security Department Manager.
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
Must be familiar with all Security SOPs, Memos, and Guides.
Supervisor all employees working underneath them.
Ensure everyone is in correct uniform, in their correct positions, and completing the duties required of them.
Act on behest of Management with regards to disciplining team members previously listed as falling under their supervision.
Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the duties performed by individuals that they supervise.
Must be willing and able to teach and mentor Sergeants and Security Officers on their day to day tasks.
Responds to and takes charge of any incident that occurs during their shift, ensuring that all necessary tasks related to the incident are completed, unless otherwise instructed by Management.
Performing and documenting investigations as directed by Management.
Is specifically responsible for the following duties:
1.
Dorms:
Maintains an up to date Dorm Book.
Issues new dorms upon Management's approval.
Ensures all dorm residents have been issued a dorm contract that has been signed by both the resident and their Trainer.
Takes all key deposits and ensures that any money exceeding the $100 threshold is deposited at the Horseman's Bookkeeper.
Ensures that once a room has been rescinded, the room has been vacated and scheduled for cleaning by ALG Services.
2.
Vehicles:
Keeps a maintenance log, ensuring that all Security vehicles receive up to date maintenance and repairs with appropriate approval.
Ensures that all Security Vehicles are kept clean, including being washed once a week, both inside and out.
Reviews and maintains a mileage log for each vehicle.
3.
Interviewing and Onboarding new Security Officers:
Responsible for conducting interviews of prospective employees and onboarding new Security Officers.
4.
Scheduling:
Is able to assist all Security Personnel with the use and understanding of the Virtual Roster.
Assists Management with scheduling, specifically to fill in needed overtime according to the overtime guidelines.
5.
EMTS:
Responsible for conducting interviews of prospective employees, onboarding and scheduling EMTS.
6.
Purchasing:
In charge of keeping track of needed supplies and when they need to be ordered.
7.
Equipment:
Ensure equipment is in proper condition and accounted for.
Includes radios, flashlights, scan guns, detex scanners, keys etc.
8.
Reports:
Is responsible for checking to ensure that all Daily Logs and Incident Reports are appropriately completed in iTrak and contain all necessary information.
Will help teach and mentor the Sergeants on how to properly fill out and complete reports.
What You'll Need:
Must have excellent customer service skills, and strong teamwork skills.
Must have ability to handle stressful, volatile situations with poise and confidence.
Must be willing and able to work inside and outside in the elements.
Must be able to run, walk, stand, bend, kneel, stretch, push, pull, lift, and carry weight for a full eight (8) hour shift.
Must be able to work all shifts, and weekends/holidays/big race days as required.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications.
Must be knowledgeable of state and local laws and regulations.
